William David Enos (04/03/1947 – 11/06/2022) died quietly after a brief illness with MRSA of his lungs.

Bill graduated from Old Putnam City High School in 1965, and Kansas Newman College in 1996 with a BA in Pastoral Ministry.  When he was a senior in High School he enlisted with the Marines.  He was medically discharged from Vietnam in 1966, which was the beginning of his lifelong struggles with his lungs.

His next life adventure began in 1968 when he joined the IBEW (Intn’l Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), working for a few large electrical contractors, including Industrial Electric with Bud Hoch.  He retired in 2017 from the Oklahoma State Dept of Health after 30 years.

Bill committed himself to the Catholic faith by becoming a Deacon at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and he enjoyed visiting with hospital bound parishioners.

Bill was married to Mellissa Jan White Enos for 53 years and had two children.  When Bill and Jan became empty nesters, they started riding bicycles.  They took numerous biking trips including a trip to the Florida Keys riding along the Coastal Highway.  Then for their 50th Wedding Anniversary Bill took Jan to San Francisco and they rode across the Golden Gate Bridge and into Muir Woods National Park.

Bill was also a regular on the Saturday morning OBS Donut Ride and most weekday mornings could be found riding around Lake Overholser with Fred Kamp.

Bill was predeceased by his twin brother Robert Enos.  He is survived by his wife, Jan of Nichols Hills; daughter, Polly Franke and husband Sean and their children Will, Reid, Drew and Luke of Overland Park, KS; son, Patrick Enos and children Emily and Skylar of Lakewood, CO; sister, Mary Lashley and husband Richard and their children Steven and Brian of Lewisville, TX; sister-in-law, Peggy Crump and husband Fred of Oklahoma City.

A Memorial Mass will be held November 28th at 11:00 am at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3214 N Lake Ave., Oklahoma City, OK, with reception following in the Connor Center.
