Thomas L. Holiday

Thomas L. Holiday of Edmond, Oklahoma went to be with our Lord and Savior, May 14, 2016. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 5, 1939. He graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1957 before attending Oklahoma City University. While attending OCU, he was offered a promotion as an officer at Guaranty Bank, which launched his successful 47-year career in the banking industry. During his career he worked in several cities including Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Cache, Oklahoma, Lawton, Oklahoma and Duncan, Oklahoma.

After retiring from banking, he spent his time volunteering most notably at the University of Central Oklahoma in the Math and Science Department. During his last few years he worked at the Oklahoma Tourism Welcome Center at I35 and122nd street where he thoroughly enjoyed both the people who worked there and the tourists who visited the center.

He was proceeded in death by his parents E.E. and Doris Holiday. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 55 years, Glenda Holiday of Edmond, Oklahoma; his devoted daughters Sabrina and husband Richard Spies, of Argyle, Texas and Faith and husband Loren Luke of Edmond, Oklahoma; and grandsons, who he loved dearly, Luke Thomas Spies and Thomas Isaac Luke. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Holiday of Lancaster, California.

He was a wonderful husband, affectionate Daddy and a kind and compassionate man, who will be greatly missed by all.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 26, at the First Christian Church Chapel, located at 201 E. 2nd Street, in Edmond, Oklahoma.
