Sue Mary Eames Sinclair

Sue passed away on February 16, 2020.   She was born in Converse, Missouri, on March 5, 1929 to James M. and Mary E. Eames.  Sue was raised in Lathrop, Missouri, attended Prairie Lawn grade school, Stewartsville High School, and continued on to study at William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority.  It was at William Jewel that Sue met Basil Sinclair, Jr., and they were married on her birthday in 1950.   Basil and Sue lived in Missouri, MI, and Kansas before settling in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Sue enjoyed playing in the ladies nine-hole golf group at Quail Creek County Club, exercising at the Northside YMCA, working at the Yardstick, and having coffee and playing bridge with life-long friends   She was a long-time member of the Village Christian Church and then attended New Covenant Christian Church for many years.  Preceded in death by her husband Basil in 1999, four older brothers (Max, Gene, Jim, and Robert), son-in-law Tom Brock, and sister-in-law Kathleen Eames.   She is survived by her three children – Doug Sinclair (Mary) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Steve Sinclair (Margaret) of Dallas, Texas; and Jana S. Brock of The Woodlands, Texas.  She is also survived by 7 grandchildren:  Bill Sinclair (Kristin) of Plano, Texas:  Stephanie Hayden (Michael) of Frisco, Texas; Ben Sinclair (Katie) of Edmond, Oklahoma;  Dave Sinclair (Chanel) of Columbus, Ohio;  Thomas Brock of Huntsville, Texas; Abby Brock Burns (Matt) of Tomball, Texas;  and Garrett Brock of Plano, Texas:  and three great-grandchildren Dean Hayden, Everett Sinclair, and Brady Burns; sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews. 

A memorial Service will be held at Village Christian Church located at 9401 Ridgeview Drive, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on February 22nd at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sue’s memory to the Village Christian Church.
