Rhonda Jean Daniels

Rhonda Jean Daniels gained her wings at the young age of 50 on June 3, 2021. Rhonda’s story began on September 13, 1970 in Providence Kentucky. She was the first born and older sister to 2 brothers.

Rhonda spent the first 16 years of her life in Albuquerque New Mexico. Her mother said she was a very inquisitive child and never accepted a simple explanation.  Around the age of 4, she took her first hot-air balloon ride with her momma and was instantly taken away, she became fascinated with the idea of being in the sky, just being free. Though she was not content with just riding in the basket, she had to try and climb out.  Many of Rhonda’s friends and family shared the same story. They all said she wanted to be taken up in a hot air balloon and set free.

Rhonda began her journey into motherhood at a young age. Rhonda was the proud mother of 4 beautiful children Melissa, Krystal, Marc and Ashlei Daniels. She always said her kids were her greatest accomplishment if life. All her children agreed that Rhonda was the most selfless and fierce person they knew.  She spent every waking moment playing with her kids. From making cookies, playing in the mud or dancing in the rain. Rhonda had a magical way of turning an ordinary moment into extraordinary memories. When life got hard, she shielded and protected her kids with every fiber of her being.

One of Rhonda’s favorite stories to tell about Krystal and Marc was the time they put rollie pollies in the refrigerator because they said that the bugs feet were getting hot. Or the time Marc replaced her wallet with a bullfrog before she went to the grocery store. Melissa said what she remembered the most about her mom was how she wore shoes with holes in soles so her kids could have the very best.

Little did her daughters know that they would get to relish in those precious childhood memories once more watching her nurturing spirit flourish yet again with her grandchildren to muddy smiling faces, messy kitchen, and finger paintings that redecorate the dining room.

Her love did not just stop at her children or grandchildren, it was extended to friends and strangers. Though Roni did not know her own self-worth, other people recognized and valued all she was. She gave an abundance of unconditional love. She lit up every room she walked in and would make sure you smiled before any conversation was
over. She had her flaws but Rhonda Daniels was truly an angle of earth and left her finger prints on so many hearts.

Rhonda was preceded in death by grand mother Bonnie Hunter, Scott Ramburg, and beloved son Marc Daniels.

Rhonda is survived by parents Tim and Linda Burpo, brother James Butts, 3 daughters Melissa, Krystal, and Ashlei, and 5 grandchildren Tate Garrett, Harmoney Daniels, Rien Wilson, Karlon Daniels and Marcus Daniels.
