Ralph “Jerry” Wainscott passed away on December 31, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born August 20, 1936 in Oklahoma City, to his parents Ralph Austin and Clara Bernice Wainscott , long time grocers and real estate investors. They have proceeded him in death.  As a young man he enjoyed tinkering with cars and motorcycles, fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors. He met his high school and life long sweetheart Lyela Jo at 16 years old while attending his Alma Mater Central High School in Oklahoma City. He went on through trade school and began a career in HVAC with a focus on commercial refrigeration. He enjoyed his career which often found him traveling throughout the United States. He became a lifetime member of the Local pipefitters Union in 1960 and was an active member at the time of passing. Though he retired many years ago, there was never a project going on around him he didn’t jump in to supervise. In his personal life he was a faithful husband to his wife Lyela Jo and a devoted father to his 5 boys Jerry Jo, Scott, Terry, Shawn and Chris. He was a very involved and outgoing grandfather to his 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, by whom he will be greatly missed. Today we find comfort knowing he is fishing with his best friend Boss in the biggest lake in the sky and we are jealous that he will be eating a pot roast dinner that his mom has waiting on him.
