It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Quinto (Quin) Maurice Ackerson, of Oklahoma City, OK, who passed away on July 18, 2026, at the age of 57.
Quin attended John Marshall High School and later graduated from Vatterott College in Technology & Computing. He spent much of his career working in his true passion, serving as a talented chef and cook in various local restaurants. He was last employed at The Education and Employment Ministry (TEEM) as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist. He was incredibly proud and happy to help others find their footing, dedicating his time to bringing hope, encouragement, and support to those who needed it most.
Quin accepted Christ at an early age. Throughout his life's journey, he maintained a deeply grateful heart and never took his days for granted. Every birthday and milestone was a deeply meaningful moment for him, as he was always profoundly thankful to God for granting him another year of life. He loved connecting with people through his cooking and will be fondly remembered for his incredible fried pork chops and chicken Alfredo.
Quin leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Evelyn Ackerson; his daughter, Cesiny Ackerson; his granddaughter, Kaleah Ackerson; and his siblings, Dyan Smith, Ron (Paula) Ackerson, Regina (Richard) Marshall, and Darlene (Thomas) Neal; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and close friends who will miss him deeply.
Memorial services for Quinto (Quin) Maurice Ackerson will be announced at a later date.
