Paul Robert Sutter, loving husband, father, and grandfather went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on, February 1, 2021.
Born February 16th 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, Paul, or “Pappy” as he was known by these days, was an avid outdoorsman, and skilled hunter. His favorite pastime included reloading bullets, fly fishing, reading American history, and most especially he had a passion for hunting with friends and family.
In recent years Pappy enjoyed traveling and birding with his best friend, soul mate, and wife Mary. This February 14th will mark their 40 year wedding anniversary. Pappy loved spending time with his three beautiful grandchildren, passing on his knowledge and love of all things outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert, and his mother Dorothy. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, two children Sarah (husband, Greg) and David (wife, Stacie), and three grandchildren, Luke, Piper and Emma. He is also survived by his sister Cindy (husband, Mark), his niece Talbot (husband, Kairo) and nephew Reid.
Pappy left us to soon, but God had bigger plans for him. We will miss his dry humor, his enormous bear hugs, and his infectious drive to be in the outdoors together.

Mary, Sarah, Greg, David, Stacie, Luke, Piper and Emma, I am so incredible sorry for your loss. I know the pain each of you are feeling and how much Paul will be missed. You have lost an amazing Husband, Father and Pappy. I am praying for God’s hands to wrap around your hearts, provide you comfort and give you grace.
Paul, although we weren’t close over the last few years, I feel close to you because you were responsible for raising my best friend. Rest assured, your legacy will live on through him and all of your children and grand children. We have you to thank for the man David has become. He is a man of impeccable character and incredible drive with a heart of gold. And I am thankful for him and for you and your role in his life.
Your marriage to Mary is something to be admired and is an inspiration to me. The strength of your bond and your commitment to each other is an example we should all strive for.
You fought the good fight, you finished the race and I am sure your Kingdom inheritance will be great. The foundations you built here will go on forever. Thank you for your life and your impact on the lives of the people I care about.

Sending each of you our condolences for the loss of Paul. I only met Paul about 10 years ago through the friendship I struck with his son David.
He was such a kind and gentle man, I enjoyed his dry sense of humor. He was always so willing to help you with anything!
His likeness will live on for some time through David who Paul obviously had a hand in raising as David carries so many of his Dad’s incredible qualities.
Sending all the Family our thoughts and prayers and hoping all of you find peace during this difficult time.
With all our love,
Ryan

To Mary, David, Stacie, Piper, Sarah, Greg, Luke, and Emma,
We are so so sorry for your loss. No words of comfort can ever be enough in a time like this. We are heartbroken for you and know you are experiencing such tremendous pain and grief. The grief that will stay with you. Our prayers for you are that God can give you the strength to grieve in a healthy way and that He will give grace in your heartache.
God tells us in the book of James that, “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” We know Paul is now healed and at peace. On earth, Paul has left a legacy of which any man would be proud. Although we were not personally close to Paul, we have the privilege of having some wonderful and amazing relationships with many of you. As his tremendous influence on each of you is immeasurable, I know that in a way his life lives on in each of you. His soul and spirit continues on through each of you, and for that I am grateful. Continued prayers for all of you as you continue each day on this new and difficult road. We love you all.
