In Loving Memory of Patricia Ann Rich White-Sawyer

August 22, 1942 – October 18, 2026

Patricia Ann Rich White-Sawyer, 84, of Laguna Beach, California, passed away on October 18, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, love, and a family who will forever cherish her.

Patricia was truly one of a kind. Strong-willed, fiercely independent, and just the right amount of stubborn, she lived life on her own terms. She had a mind of her own, wasn’t afraid to use it, and certainly wasn’t one to be easily persuaded otherwise.

She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially a trip to the casino. She loved living at the beach. Behind that stubborn streak was a woman who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew and loved her. Her strength, determination, and unforgettable personality will live on in the stories told, the memories shared, and the laughter that comes from remembering all the things that made her so special.

Patricia leaves behind her loving daughter, Mary White of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her granddaughter, Izabella Welton and husband, Jacob Welton; and her two precious great-granddaughters, Sophia and Lillian Welton of Mustang, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind family members in Arizona and Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughters, Laura Ann and Michelle Diane Sheppard; her parents, George and Lucille Rich; her siblings, Robert Rich, Kathleen Rich, Susie Hewson, and Michael Rich; and husband, Eugene Sawyer.

While her family and friends will miss her dearly, they find comfort in imagining her reunited with her daughters, Laura and Michelle. After years of being separated, the thought of a mother’s arms wrapped around her girls once again brings a measure of peace to those she leaves behind.

Patricia’s family and friends will forever carry her memory in their hearts. They will remember her strength, her stubbornness, her favorite things, and most of all, the privilege of loving a woman who was unapologetically herself.

Rest peacefully, Patricia. May your reunion with Laura and Michelle be as beautiful as the love that never faded. Your work here is done, your memories will live on, and somewhere, there’s surely a lucky slot machine waiting for you.
