Nancy Jean Hogan

Nancy Jean Hogan, 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 26, 2023, with her family by her side.

She was born to William and Lorraine Gann on February 14, 1954, in Ada, Oklahoma.

“Weegie”, as she is lovingly referred to by her close friends and family, is the youngest sister to Steve, Barbara, Bill, Lynda Sue, Mary Lou, and Martha. She lovingly supported 13 nieces and nephews.

Nancy grew up in the Bethany, Oklahoma area, graduating in 1972 from Putnam City West High School. After graduation, Nancy joined the Army, where she served for three years.

Her journey took her to live in Hawaii, Maryland, and California, before returning home to Oklahoma where she remained. She loved to travel, and most recently fell in love with the big skies of Montana.

Nancy married the love of her life, Michael Hogan, on May 23, 1992. They shared many adventures, trials and victories together. They were devoted followers of Christ and served Him in many ways, one of which was through Celebrate Recovery, a Christ-Centered 12 step recovery program. Michael preceded her in death in May of 2013.

Nancy spent the last 13 months of her life at St. Ann’s Skilled Nursing, where she made many wonderful friends, including her special beau, Don Johnson.

After retiring from the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety, Nancy enjoyed spending time with her dog, Oliver, and her family and friends. She enjoyed church activities, scrapbooking, music, and movies. But most of all, making and nurturing friends. She never met a stranger! She will be remembered for her larger-than-life personality, her wit, and her infectious smile. She was patient, kind and courageous. We will miss her terribly.
