Melinda Sue Mccurley

Melinda Sue Smith McCurley, 51, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at her home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born September 28, 1964 to Rex Dean and Marylyn Sue (Collins) Smith in Hobart, Oklahoma. Melinda graduated from the original P.C. High school in Oklahoma City. She married David Wade McCurley on June 3^rd, 1983 in Oklahoma City, OK. Melinda was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1922 and fought a courageous battle to the end.

She is survived by her husband David, two sons; Michael wade and Christopher wade McCurley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, two grandsons in Stillwater Oklahoma, and a Granddaughter in Moore Oklahoma, her mother, Marilyn Sue Smith, one sister, Cynthia Sue Steward and her brother Robert Benjamin Smith of Oklahoma City, her mother-in-law Carol McCurley of Oklahoma City, two sister-in-laws; Michelle Burns Cornelious of Edmond, Oklahoma and Melissa Kendrick of Grand Prairie, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. She left behind her friends Mary and Stewart Sanders and their son Chris.

A Memorial Service for Melinda will be at the Oklahoma City First Church of the Nazarene (4000 Northwest Expy. OKC, OK 73116) 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 7, 2016.
