Mary Lou Bussing, born June 14, 1952, passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 73.
Mary Lou, known to most as Granny, Aunt Mary, or Loule, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, whose life was deeply rooted in her family and the relationships she cherished. She was the kind of friend who listened without judgment, loved without condition, and showed up without being asked.
She is survived by her children, Brian Alan Bussing and Ronetta Lynn Dewbre, and her husband Steven Harris; her grandchildren, Nicholas Allen Badry and his wife Mandi Badry, Anthony Ray Solis II and his girlfriend Shelbi Hoskins, Paige Nicole Askeriiani and her husband Mikail Askeriiani, and Marcus Henry Bussing II; and her great-grandchildren, Lili June Badry, Isabella Lynn Rose Dewbre, Anthony Ray Solis III, and Lexi Lynn Peeples.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton Douglas Dewbre and Dorothy May Dewbre; her son, Marcus Henry Bussing; and her sisters Alma, Velma, Joetta, Marie, and Judy. She is survived by her sister, Thelma.
Mary found great joy and fulfillment in her role as a grandmother and aunt, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, holding a special place in her heart for each of them. Her friendships were equally meaningful, and she treated those she loved as family, offering kindness, loyalty, and unwavering support.
Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and love left a lasting impact on everyone she met, and her memory will continue to inspire and comfort her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Mary knew and loved her Lord and Savior, and she is now rejoicing and dancing in Heaven, surrounded by love and peace.
