Maria Velita, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on December 18, 1946, Maria was a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving family: sons Juan Carlos Pascual and Raul E. Pascual; daughter Judith J Hill; granddaughters Stefany Pascual, Catherine Hill, and Isabella Pascual; grandsons Koby Pascual and Marco Pascual; and great-grandchildren Kendra Naus, Alexander Naus, Emilio Pascual, Sebastian Pascual, and Esmeralda Pascual.

Maria was a talented writer, best known for her book, The Immigrant, which touched the hearts of many with its powerful narrative. In addition to her writing, Maria was a licensed minister in Oklahoma, where she found great joy in performing wedding ceremonies and being part of the happiest moments in people’s lives.

Her love for her family was paramount, and she always kept them close. One of her favorite places to visit was the casino, where she delighted in playing the slot machines and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.

Maria was a strong and resilient woman, known for her unwavering spirit. She faced many challenges throughout her life but always managed to stand back up and continue moving forward. Her perseverance and determination were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Her memory will be cherished, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. 

Maria’s strength, love, and laughter will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain with us always.
