Loyd Bridges, Jr., also known as “Bud” age 78 passed away on the 9th day of March 2015.
Loyd Bridges was born to Loyd Clayton Bridges and Belva May Brown on January 16, 1937 in Hastings, Oklahoma. On August 19, 1956 Bud married the love of his life LaDell Blackburn; of this union four children were born: Loyd, Clay, Pam and Cindy.
Bud served a two year term in the Navy. Following the Navy he spent many years in the oilfield before crossing the country in his semi; which he enjoyed with his wife and beloved pets. He had a passion for classic cars, camping trips, foldovers and spending time with family and friends especially lifelong friends Johnnie and Leroy Green.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Nelda Harper and brother-in-law, Marshall; mother-in-law, Minnie Pearl Dollarhide and brother-in-law, Joe Snider. He is survived by his wife, LaDell Bridges of the home; sister, Darlene Snider and nephew Ricky Snider of Brownwood, Texas; children, Loyd and Shelia Bridges of Yukon,Oklahoma, Clay and Sabrina Bridges of Oklahoma City,Oklahoma, Pam (Bridges) and Johnnie Campbell of Enid,Oklahoma, Cindy (Bridges) and Rob Day of Alvarado,Texas; grandchildren, Trent and Kendra Bridges of Bixby,Oklahoma, Kristen and Kale Dittmeyer of Rogers, Arkansas, Jeffrey Bridges of Oklahoma City,Oklahoma, Derrick and Kristin Hise of Mustang,Oklahoma, Casey and James Hultman of Edmond,Oklahoma, Tanner Bridges of Yukon,Oklahoma, Ray and Roby Day of Alvarado,Texas, Roman and Veronica Day of Cleburne,Texas; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Taylor, Jackson, Brooks, and Kade; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
