Linda Lucille Hobbs, of Mcloud, Oklahoma was born November 12, 1945, to Charles DeRonda and Nellie Maddox, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Linda’s life was defined by her kindness, her strength, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
Linda raised a large, loving family of eight children, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious smell of something cooking in her kitchen. She cherished her family above all else and delighted in every moment she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and collecting her treasured knickknacks, each one holding a memory close to her heart. Known for her courage and resilience, Linda fought a hard fight with grace and determination. Her smile was contagious, her laughter unforgettable, and her presence a comfort to all who knew her. She touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have shared in her company.
Linda is survived by her children: Pam McLain and husband Mike of Geronimo; Tracy Walker and her fiancé Russell of Moore; Gina Hobbs of McLoud; Travis McGuire and husband Shane of Oklahoma City; Charlet Shoquist and husband Shanon of Moore; and Justin Hobbs and his wife Austrianna of Midwest City. She leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren across Oklahoma and Texas, each one carrying forward her legacy of love.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Kristi Lee, her son Chase Hobbs, her mother and stepfather, Nellie and Calvin Maddox.
Services for Linda will be held Monday, December 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Oklahoma City Cremation.
Linda’s life was a gift, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
