Linda Helen Burton

Linda Burton of The Village died peacefully in her home on July 9, 2026. She will be remembered for her love, feistiness and a life full of purpose. She was a woman of courage and strength that broke barriers and boundaries for ALL women. She created a program to help women track down absent fathers who owed back child support approximately 40 years ago. To this day, that program still remains, helping countless women. Working in IT, she was a wizard, there wasn't a program or problem she couldn't solve.

Linda is survived by her beautiful daughter, Jennifer Burton of New York City, her sister Beverly Scribner and nephew John Scribner of Arlington, Virginia. 

She is proceeded in death by her parents Helen Vista and James Howard Kinnear, also her beloved fur babies Wolfie, Athena and Ariel.

Family and Friends will gather to celebrate her life at the Oklahoma City Cremation located at 807 W Wilshire Blvd OKC,OK 73116.
