Lawrence (Larry) Reid Tegler

Lawrence (Larry) Reid Tegler passed away May 25, 2016 at 2:33 in the afternoon while a resident at the  Northwest Nursing Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on December 23, 1933 in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan to Laurence Thomas Tegler and Melba Delite Tegler (Reid). He grew up in Kankakee, Illinois with his sister, Linda Catherine and was joined by his brother Mike 19 years later, also in Kankakee, Illinois.

He graduated from high school and went on to pursue a degree in art from the Chicago Art Institute, which he accomplished. He was hired by Marshal Fields to work in their art design department and eventually mad a life long career working there in several capacities until his retirement in 1998.  Larry made Chicago his home… he loved the city.

A Memorial Celebration for Larry is scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Oklahoma City Cremation’s Celebration Center.
