Laura E Serrano

LAURA E. SERRANO (nee Kozlowski), age 62 of Piedmont, OK formerly of Cicero, IL passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on June 17, 2024. She was the cherished daughter of the late Chester and Betty Kozlowski. 

Laura was always smiling and was the life of the party. She had many interests which included riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle, cooking, boating, camping and time with family. She especially loved and cared for her pets, Kasey and “crazy” Mazy. 

Laura is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years Mark; step-son, Scott Serrano; granddaughter, Ella Rose Serrano; her sister Kathy Vana and late brother, Steven; nieces, Karen Vana and Lauren (Tom) Pedersen; aunt Marge Hodous; great niece and nephews; numerous cousins.

A memorial will be held at St. John Nepomuk 600 Garth Brooks Blvd, Yukon, OK on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:30 AM.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Barbara Church 4008 Prairie Ave., Brookfield, IL on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM followed by burial at Mary Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
