Jacob Glen
Davis
November 28, 1982 – June 3, 2026
Memorial Road Church of Christ
Starts at 2:00 pm (Central time)
Jacob Glen Davis, 43, passed away peacefully at sunrise on June 3, 2026, in his home in Jones, Oklahoma, with the windows open, his favorite music playing softly, and surrounded by the love of family, including his beloved wife, Penny, and daughters, Josie (his pride) and Junie (his joy).
Jacob was born on November 28, 1982, to Glen and Cindy Davis in the old hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma. He grew up in Yukon and graduated from Yukon High School in 2001 at the top of his class and a member of the varsity basketball team. He later attended Oklahoma Christian University, where he served as student body president. He began as an English major before finding his calling in accounting and eventually earning his CPA.
Jacob excelled in his work at Chesapeake and later Tapstone before leaving the oil and gas industry to start his own successful accounting firm, Village Financial—a "going concern" now run by his youngest brother, Jed.
An eternal student and a man of culture, Jacob dabbled in a little bit of everything. He was an avid reader, especially of Hemingway and historical biographies; a founding member of a movie club and devoted cinephile; a music lover; a proud Thunder fan; and an ever-disappointed Dallas Cowboys fan.
He loved traveling to different corners of the world with Penny, sharing a curiosity about people, places, food, and ideas that they eventually passed on to their daughters, whom they happily brought along for the ride. Jacob had his own style and will always be remembered for his love of vests and grandpa chic sweaters, which he wore like a boss.
As the eldest sibling, father, uncle, and cousin, he set a high bar and provided a powerful example of leadership, confidence, and work ethic. He was intentional about investing in the people around him, encouraging them to pursue their goals and empowering them to become the best versions of themselves. While he was financially savvy by profession, his greatest investment was always in family and friends. He showed up for those he loved, frequently celebrating them through public tributes and thoughtful handwritten letters marking special moments or days in their lives, which he always remembered.
He is survived by his wife, Penny; daughters, Josie and Junie; wiener dog Jasper; parents, Glen and Cindy; siblings, Jill, Danny, and Jed; and a large and close-knit extended family and circle of friends who loved him dearly.
Jacob fit more life and gave more love into 43 years than most do in a lifetime. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his intellect, generosity, humor, and unwavering devotion to the many people he cared about. We find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who went before him.
