It’s with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Glen Roy “Howdy” Burling at his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on February 27, 2026. He was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, on May 22, 1956, and grew up in Dewey, Oklahoma. He was the son of Clifton and Vera Burling. He graduated from Dewey High School in 1974. He attended the University of Central Oklahoma. He worked at the Cowboy Hall of Fame, and his latest job was with the Oklahoma Credit Union as a facility manager. He was sports-oriented and played with the Our Gang softball team, and he was a big fan of Oklahoma University sports! He loved fishing, and he loved his dogs. He is survived by Jack Burling (brother), Jill Sells (sister), Jim Sells (brother-in-law), Carlos Romero, Rachel Romero, Ashley Long, and Kera Sells (nephews and nieces).
