Gary L Trotter

Garrel L. "Gary" Trotter, age 82, of Oklahoma City, died October 15, 2026. He was born March 31, 1944, to T. C. "Chet" Trotter & Grace E. "Sue" Stone. 

He was united in marriage to Jane L. "Janie" Alderdice in Nov. 1968. They shared nearly 58 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, humor, travel & countless memories.

Gary was a hard-working man who spent much of his career in the aircraft industry, retiring as a mechanical engineer from Cessna. Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas.

His pride was apparent in his family: his son Mitch, his daughter Marni, & his grandchildren (who were all convinced that he could fix anything); his time served as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy & as a Vietnam veteran; his years as a ride captain of the Patriot Guard Riders of Texas; his support of the military, law enforcement, & all first responders.

Gary is survived by his wife Janie, his son Mitch & wife Shannon, his daughter Marni & his five grandchildren - Zach & Hayley Trotter; Riley, Piper & Wyatt Hull; & his younger brother R.C. "Corky" Trotter. He was preceded in death by his parents & his older brother, Terry.

He will be forever loved & missed; our memories are very dear of a special man.

At Gary's request, there will be a "scattering of the ashes" ceremony at a later date.
