Florice Dorene Carlton Jenkins Jones

Florice Dorene Carlton Jenkins Jones passed away October 11, 2020 after a short illness. 

She was born in Hamlin, Texas on December 2,1925.

Dorene was raised in Texas and came to Oklahoma after the war. Although always a Texan at heart,  

she stayed in Oklahoma to raise her kids in Midwest City where she worked at TAFB

until she retired in1983.  Then she worked a few years for Midwest City schools as a cafeteria employee.

Finished working, she traveled with friends and family; enjoyed her grandchildren; and spent time gardening .

Dorene was preceded in death by her son Ronnie Jenkins of Austin, Texas in 1989; her parents DW and 

Maude Carlton, Hamlin, TX; her brothers Max and DW; her beloved sisters Movelda, Oletta, Ila, Merle and Billie, 

all of Texas.

She is survived by daughter Marsha Jones and son-in-law Buddy Jones; grandsons Jeremy Jones 

and partner Cristy Klerf -Seattle;  Nathan Jones -OKC; Jacob Jones-OKC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
