Doris Anne Reece

Doris Anne Reece (Stokes) passed away on August 28, 2016 in Norman, Oklahoma. 

She was born on October 5, 1937 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Daniel and Lillian (Deaver) Stokes. 

Doris married Harold Matthew Reece on August 25, 1956 in Manheim, Pennsylvania. They were happily married for 42 years, before he passed on.

Doris was an Air Force wife who traveled with her husband all over the world while raising their four children. She retired with her husband in Noble, Oklahoma.  She had a great love for animals and later worked as a Veterinary Technician. She enjoyed cooking, especially her oyster pies, sewing, and socializing with her friends.  She had a soft heart for animals in need and took great pride in caring for them.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Lillian Stokes, and her husband Harold Matthew Reece. 

Doris is survived by her children Susan Wright of Gallatin, Tennessee, Faith (Phil) Taylor of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Beth (Mike) Armatta of Buchanan, Texas, and Jeff (Lindsay) Reece of Blanchard, Oklahoma; her grandchildren Matt, Joel, P.J. , Shannon, Ryan, Kyla, Karston, and Kennidee; great-grandchildren Jakob, Riku, Tate, and Clara Belle. 

A memorial service will be held at Oklahoma City Cremation, 807 W. Wilshire Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73116 on Saturday September 3, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
