Di’Jon (DJ) James Stringer earned his wings on September 10, 2020. He was a HILARIOUS individual who was ambitious and had a heart of gold. He loved hard, and he loved the idea of being united with family and friends. Being such a “people person” gave him so much joy and he gained so many individuals who loved him unconditionally. Truly one of a kind with a love that was never unsure.
Although we are heartbroken, it serves great satisfaction to know he has now joined his Mother Jocelyne and his daughter Natonna. DJ will be forever be remembered by his Dad Greg; his children Imani, Di’Jon Jr., and Gabrille, his siblings Greg, Ngina, Areva, Jeremy, Taylor, and Shannon… and many more family members and dearest friends. We love you and we miss you terribly, and we are OK knowing that Heaven just could not wait for you and your job here is done. Keep the angels laughing just like you made us laugh.

So many memories of my cousin DJ. Reflecting back to when I visited California as a teenager, he may have been 4 or 5 years. Our parents loved music and brought us up on all kinds of music. Cameo had a song called Word Up that was bumping back then and DJ used to be jammin to it. Aunt Jocelyn and Uncle Greg started calling him Super DJ from a part in the song. Nobody could say SUUPAAAAAAA, like his mom and dad. He facetimed me about 3 weeks ago from a hospital bed just to check on me. We laughed and reflected and promised we would do better by staying in touch. So many stories and so many lives he touched. My prayers for Uncle Greg, his beautiful children, his siblings, and all who loved Ole Suupa. Tell Aunt Jocelyn hello and rest well cuzzo!! Much Love!!❤❤

I have to echo what’s been said about DJ. he was truly a “people person”. He would always stop and say hey if we happened to be in Chocolate City at the same time. We’ll truly miss you DJ!

I remember when you came to my house with Tony. I was glad to see you. You were so excited to start school here in Oklahoma and you was telling me about your lady friend here lol. You are going to be missed dearly a very cool down to earth guy fly high DJ.

My DJ, it is so hard to say goodbye to you sweetie. One thing I will always remember is how much you loved me. You never neglected to tell me you loved me and your Sunday calls always made me laugh.
