David Kenneth Thompson passed away on March 12, 2016 at his home in Norman, OK at the age of 58.
David graduated from Hazel Green Academy in Hazel Green, Kentucky and received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. David loved nature and the out of doors. He enjoyed music. He worked in the apartment maintenance field as he enjoyed working with his hands. He received many awards and was appreciated for his work.
David is survived by his wife, Marye of the home. He is also survived by his son, James “Kenny” Thompson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, daughter Athena Willis and husband Garrett of Lexington, Kentucky , three granddaughters, Kylie, Leah, Penelope and one grandson, Jax, sisters, Shirley Conley (Wendell) of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and Brenda Ruth (Kenny) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, nephews, nieces and great nieces and great nephews. He is also survived by his father in law, Donald Rawson of Alva, Oklahoma and lifelong friend “brother” Darvin Brown of Lee City, Kentucky.
He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Roxie Thompson.
