David Joe Allen

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of David Joe

Allen of Choctaw, OK on May 20, 2021 at 70 years old.  David was born to

Joe and Dovie Allen on March 4, 1951 in Atoka, OK.  The family eventually

settled in Choctaw, OK where David graduated high school in 1969.  He

joined the US Army and served in both Vietnam and the Korean War.  Later,

he made a career at CMI/Terex where he traveled the world working as a field

service technician.  After retiring in 2012, he kept busy with many hobbies

including building guns, metal working, bee-keeping and making bath soaps.

Through these hobbies, he made many friends who he enjoyed spending time

with. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn; parents, Joe and Dovie

Allen; and sisters Frankie Oswald and JoRita Moss.  He is survived by his

daughters Megan Cannon of Anchorage, AK and Kathleen Allen of Boise, ID;

two brothers, Jack Allen and wife Melanie of Chino Valley, AZ and Pat Allen

and wife Jan of Auberndale, FL; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews

and friends.
