Corey Adam Hunt, 40, of Moore, OK, passed away on November 24th, 2021 after an untimely death. He was perfect. He was and always will be immensely treasured.

Corey was born on September 2nd, 1981 to Dianna Johnson in Petoskey Michigan. At 18 months old Corey enjoyed his first plane ride to Tulsa, OK where he spent his childhood and most of his adult life. After Corey graduated from Victory Christian School in 2001 he went on to start a career in digital media. On November 24th, 2021, God decided that he needed Corey and therefore he passed away without warning. Corey’s death has left all his family, friends and all that had the blessing of knowing him in absolute turmoil. Corey had huge plans to change the cannabis industry for patients all across the midwest.

With his artistic vision and ability to bring people together, Corey cofounded Illegally Healed, using his activism to secure medical cannabis access for patients in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Utah. He noticed a need for education in newly legal states and formed Ounce Magazine to help bring education and awareness to new patients. Corey then created OK Purple with a mission to provide specialized options to patients for their individual medical needs.

Corey poured his heart and soul into his work and all the people Corey worked with absolutely admired him. There truly wasn’t anything that Corey couldn’t do, he was a genius. Corey touched everybody’s lives and made it a point to make all those he encountered feel so important and special. He showed up when it mattered, had your back, gave to those in need, and would defend and stand up for his loved ones should the need for it arise. He kept us safe.

Corey is survived by his Mother Dianna Johnson, Sister Erica Johnson, Brother Joshua Johnson, sweetheart Courtney Boze, as well as his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved chihuahua, Bean.
