Christine Noelle Marshburn

Christine Noëlle Marshburn, lovingly known to many as Ms. Christine, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at the age of 70.

Christine was born aboard a ship off the coast of South Carolina, a fitting beginning for a woman whose life would always have a bit of adventure and a lot of story to tell. She was truly blessed with the gift of gab and never met a stranger. She delighted in travel and laughter and had a special talent for making others laugh right along with her.

A devoted homemaker, Christine loved to cook and cared deeply for her family. In her later years, she found great joy ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, where her warmth and personality made her something of a local legend. Folks looked forward to seeing Ms. Christine out front, bell in hand, greeting everyone with a smile, a laugh, and often a conversation.

Christine is survived by her children Jessica (Sarah) Mutschelknaus, Luke (Tania) Lex, Ryan (Lauren) Lex, and Matthew Marshburn; her mother Noëlla Harrington; and her siblings Martine Strohmeyer of Virginia Beach, Jim Marshburn of Orlando, Bob Marshburn of Pheonix, and Monique Dietz of Virginia Beach, along with many other loved ones and friends who will miss her dearly.

Christine’s laughter, kindness, and unmistakable presence will live on in the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, connection, and joy; one that will not soon be forgotten. A celebration of life will take place virtually for close friends and family and her ashes will be spread over the Atlantic Ocean at a later date.
