Carrie Jo Wiegert passed away on November 22, 2017 at her home in Harrah, Oklahoma with her family by her side. She was born on January 6, 1969 in Memphis Tennessee she is the daughter of Edward and Barbara Nechuatal (Brown). Carrie worked as a Travel Agent.

Carrie was an amazing Grandmother, wife, sister and mother she was loved and will be missed.

Today we honor the life of Carrie. She touched so many with her love, her laugh, and her kind spirit. She lived her life for her passions.

Her biggest passion was her love for her husband David. They shared 42 years together and had many passions together:

Their children, JJ and David Michael. Who they loved and supported through many adventures and misadventures, family trips both successful and not, basketball games, baseball games, school assignments, relationships, graduations, and weddings.

Another shared passion was traveling around the world on cruises, self-led tours, and a little closer to home in their vintage travel trailer named Arvee.

Carrie loved David and their children with all of her heart and lived her life to be a wonderful wife and mother.

Carrie also had many passion projects she pursued on her own. She was an avid reader and a prolific writer herself. She wrote numerous poems, short stories, children’s books, and a novel she intended to be a series. She loved to share her talent and creativity with those she cared about. Many poems and stories were written for David, JJ, David Michael, and those close to her.

She loved to work with her hands repairing and building antique lamps, sewing, painting and repainting her home, and working in her flower beds.

Carrie always had a smile on her face and a laugh in her eyes. She was often accused of being mischievous. She was hyper competitive, fiercely loyal to her friends and family, and always, always working on some sort of project. Her mind was never still. She touched so many with her kindness and her giving spirit. She will be dearly missed by her family, her friends, and any who have had the pleasure to have her as even a small part of their lives.

Carrie was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Harold “Doie” Brown, and grandmother, Laura Mae “Minnie” Brown.

She is survived by:
Her loving and devoted husband, David Wiegert; Her daughter, Jennifer “J.J.” Verdes, and son-in-law, John-Paul Verdes; Her son, David Michael Wiegert, daughter-in-law, Kendra Wiegert, and her two cherished, beautiful granddaughters, Journey and Joplin Wiegert; Her parents, Ed and Barbara Nechvatal; Her sister, life-long partner in crime, caregiver (Carrie would say bossy), confidant, and friend, Laura Wilson, and her brother-in-law, Scott “Scottcho” Wilson; Her niece and honorary second daughter, Stephanie Thomas, and her great-niece and honorary granddaughter, Phoebe Thomas
