Carla Jean Monks entered into eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 4:28 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Carla worked at several jobs using this skill a few of which are Hitachi, Tinker, and Deconess Hospital. Carla was preceded in death by her father Joseph Overcast, mother Josephine Overcast, her loving husband Daniel Thomas Monks, her stepson Shawn Kertis Monks, and her great-granddaughter Oaklyn Shay Farias. Carla is survived by her sister Teri; niece Ashley her husband Matt and their children Averi and Aaron; stepdaughter Wendy and husband David and their children Anna and husband Kyle, Trinity, and Devon, their grandchildren Andrea, and Remy; Stepson Alan and wife Heather, their children Madison, Meghan, Michaela, Macy Chandler, and Brianna, their grandchildren Harper, Jackson, and Cole; grandson Dodger; granddaughter Brooklyn and husband Octavio and their children Sofia, Adrian, and Ruby; grandchildren Kertis, Alexander, Emma, Jessica and her children Ariel, Jacob Jr,, and Cecil, Lyndsey and her children Isaiah and Asher. Carla loved reading, watching Hallmark, and Mexican food, and you almost never saw her without her Sonic Rt. 44 Cherry Coke. Carla was very close with Andrea and Remy! They played pirate and fairy, cops and thieves, snowball fights, and had lots of fun times together. They will miss their GiGi! Though her other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, niece, great-niece, and great-nephew did not live close she loved to watch on Facebook all the achievements and events they were involved with, and she was so very proud of all of them! She had many friends who loved her so much and she loved them. Thank you for loving her! She will always be missed until we see her again in Eternity.
