Britta Fleeson

Britta Fleeson, 48, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2017, at her home in Moore, Oklahoma. She was born in Kellinghusen, Germany on October 18, 1969, to Helmut and Ute Koll Steffen. She moved to the United States in 1988, where she married Lyndell Kiesel and had their daughters, Courtney and Crystal.

Britta enjoyed many things in life, such as, fishing, mowing, traveling, baking, testing her luck at casinos, freebies, but most of all, she enjoyed being Omi.

She was diagnosed with lung cancer and was given 6-12 months. Giving up was never an option to her.  She fought all the way for two years, after many treatments and setbacks. She was a petite woman, but she had more fight, more courage, more strength, than anyone; which inspired many people, to never give up.

She is survived by her husband Clay Fleeson; her daughters, Courtney Kiesel of Moore, Oklahoma and Crystal Kiesel of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her step children; Kendra Fleeson of Edmond, Oklahoma and Tristan Fleeson of Bethany, Oklahoma; her grand kids; Asher Reynolds of Moore, Oklahoma and Brodie Fleeson of Edmond, Oklahoma; her only sibling; Andreas Steffen of Nuetzen, Germany; her niece; Kara Falck of Sievershuetten, Germany; and nephew; Max Falck of Sievershuetten, Germany; an Aunt Hilde of Germany; as well as many other relatives of the extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and several relatives.

Britta was a beloved Wife, Sister, Mom, Step-Mom, Omi and friend. She will be dearly missed.

A service for Britta will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 1pm, in the Corbett Memorial Chapel at Oklahoma City Cremation, located at 807 W. Wilshire Blvd., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
