Boise Jerry Chilless

April 15, 1936 — January 24, 2024

Oklahoma City

B.J. Chilless (Boise Jerry) was born on April 15, 1936, to Lucille and Carl Chilless in Norman, OK. He graduated from Norman High School in 1954 and later graduated from Colorado College in 1958 in Colorado Springs, CO. He was a proud member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. After college, Jerry joined the Oklahoma National Guard and attended Officers Candidate School attaining the rank of Captain. 


Jerry went on to earn his Masters in Banking from LSU and spent his career in banking. He was a Vice-President at Liberty National Bank in OKC for decades and then went to Arvest Bank in Del City to be a Vice-President. 


Jerry was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, antique cars and collecting war memorabilia. 


He is survived by his three daughters: Trudi Terry of Oklahoma City, OK, Cindy Kapella of Los Angeles, CA, and Kathy Prichard of Lampasas, TX. Jerry is also remembered by his six grandchildren: Stephen and Scarlett Kapella of Los Angeles, California, Jill Zamudio and Conner Terry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Starlia and Kevin Prichard of Austin, Texas. Additionally, he leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Harper, Bella, Luca and Livy. 


Private services will be held in Colorado Springs, CO at a later date.
