Bobby Gene Miller Jr., 69, resident of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026.
He was born on January 13,1957, in Dumas, TX to Bobby Gene Miller Sr. and Barbara Ann (Gann) Miller Uffen. Shortly after, they moved to Yukon, OK where he attended Yukon Public Schools.
Bobby worked as a security officer at Corporate Tower for 20 years before retiring earlier this year. In addition to his career, he was a devoted Christian with a deep passion for studying and teaching God’s word. He generously gave Bibles to friends, family and anyone he met, wanting others to experience the hope and truth he had found. He cherished spending time with his family and close friends more than anything.
He was an avid knife enthusiast who enjoyed perfecting his throwing technique. He also had a lifelong passion for fitness and weightlifting; as well as training his dogs, teaching them countless commands and tricks. Bobby always enjoyed the outdoors, especially riding three-wheelers.
He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, servant’s heart, quiet strength, and the love he had for his family. His kindness, wisdom and gentle spirit will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Bobby is survived by his mother Barbara Uffen and husband Jack; sister Cindy Hibbs and fiance Rex Phipps; wife Terry Effinger and their children Bobby Gene and Keri Anne; his daughters Krystal Miller and Nicole Hibbs and husband Chance; grandchildren Joshua, Kali, Kloe, Hunter, Ayden, Kingston, Londyn, Kyvory, Malakye and Karmyn; niece Chelsi and nephews Jeremy and Chris; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins that were very dear to him.
He was preceded in death by his son Josh Miller; brother Jay Dee (Jay Bird) Miller; father Bobby Gene Miller Sr. and wife Elaine; Uncle Steve Gann and Aunt Pat; Aunt Nancy (Weegie) Hogan and Uncle Mike.
A memorial service will be held at Crossings Community Church Pavilion, 14957 Columbia Drive, OKC, OK 73134, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Sheppard’s Chapel Church, 102 8th Ave NE, Gravette, AR 72736 and/or Shriners Children’s, ℅ Office of Philanthropy 2900 N Rocky Point Dr, Tampa, FL 33607, in Bobby’s memory are preferred by the family.
