Barbara Jean Dickey

January 9, 1943 — April 9, 2024

Oklahoma City

Barbara Jean Dickey, our precious mom, passed away on April 9, 2024 after a brief illness.  She is survived by us, her three daughters: Sandi White (husband David), Shari Hupfeld (husband Matthew), and Stefanie Crane (husband Clint) of Frisco, Texas; and grandchildren:  Sofie Wilson (husband Matt) of Prosper, Texas; Steffa Reeves (husband Trey) of Summerville, Massachusetts; Travis Hupfeld and Turner Hupfeld of Frisco, Texas; Callie Crane, Chloe Crane, and Cooper Crane of Frisco, Texas and 4 great-grandchildren: Penelope Wilson, Anabelle Wilson, and Bowie Wilson of Prosper Texas and Baby Reeves, arriving in June.

Our mom was born in San Diego, California and always loved the ocean and everything blue!  She was a talented seamstress and had a wonderful sense of humor.  While we were growing up, she filled her time caring for us and maintaining a beautiful home.  She spent the last 47 years in Oklahoma City, enjoying sweet friendships with her neighbors.

Our mom spent her last days with the three of us sharing funny stories and memories.  We are most thankful that in the last days of her life, she trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.  We rejoiced together in the moment she was born again and tearfully held her hands as she took her last breath.  While we will miss our mom for a time, we know that we will be together again.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life the one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.  Do you believe this?”

John 11:25-26
