———————————–

Anita G. Imperial,  AKA Lydia or Nanay, was born on September 5, 1936, in the province of Matnog, Bicol, in the Philippines. She was the only daughter among the four brothers of her parents, Francisco and Tasiana Imperial. She gave life to her children, Edna, Elina, and Ranold. Later, Edrabel was fostered as part of the family.

She was a strong and independent woman who worked hard to provide for her family and friends in the Philippines all her life, especially after immigrating to the States in 1994. What little she had; she generously gave to those around her.

Anita was the kindest and most loving person. She mothered everyone, so much so that friends would often call her mom. She took this as a compliment and never shied away from being there for others who needed support in one way or another.

Furthermore, she was an incredible role model who taught her children to be themselves and to always push themselves to learn more. We will miss her smile, her laugh, and her sage advice.

Anita passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on May 27, 2023, after being surrounded by those she loved all day. Although she’s no longer with us, we celebrate and have peace knowing she’s with the Lord, and we will be reunited one day.
