Additional Expenses

In addition to the services offered by Oklahoma City Cremation, there are additional expenses to consider, some of which may be required. These are commonly referred to as Cash Advance Items, which are third-party expenses that we pay on your behalf as a convenience to your family.

Common examples of cash advance items:

  • Cremation Permit - (Included in our packages)

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the State of Oklahoma currently

charges a $235 fee for issuing a cremation permit, a required item for each

cremation that takes place within Oklahoma.

  • Crematory Charges - (Included in our packages)

Most funeral homes that advertise cremation don’t own a crematory and thus

must outsource this critical service, and may charge you an additional thirdparty crematory fee.

Oklahoma City Cremation owns and operates an on-site crematory. This gives you a significant advantage: your loved one never leaves our care, and you won’t face third-party fees, delays, or possible mix-ups. It’s peace of mind, start to finish.

  • Certified Copies of the Death Certificates - (optional)

    Ordering Death Certificates in Oklahoma

The Oklahoma State Department of Health issues certified copies of the death certificate for a fee. You may order directly through VitalChek.com by uploading proof of legal entitlement and a valid photo ID. The first copy costs $42.95 (which includes one certified copy, processing fee, and UPS shipping), with delivery expected within 3 – 6 weeks. Up to four (4) additional copies can be added for $15 each. Orders exceeding five copies require initiating a new order for an additional $42.95.

Let Us Handle It for You

For a one-time flat fee of $115, we’ll obtain the first certified copy within 3 – 5 business days once the certificate is finalized, via an expedited process. Additional copies are $20 each, with no limit as to the number of copies requested. Our service offers faster turnaround, less paperwork, and peace of mind when it matters most.
